Ullen Sentalu, located in the Pakem, Ground (northern city of Yogyakarta) is a museum featuring the culture and lives of girls / women of Yogyakarta Palace and its diverse collection of batik (either style of Yogyakarta and Solo).
The museum also displays the character of the kings (Sultan) in the palace of Yogyakarta and its queen with a variety of clothing worn daily. Sentalu Ullen name is an acronym for the Java language: "ULating Blencong sejatine TAtaraning LUmaku" which means "glow lamp is an indication of human Blencong in stride and pursue life". This philosophy is taken from an oil lamp used in the puppet show (Blencong) which is a light that is always moving to direct and enlighten our life's journey.
In Sentalu Ullen, it can be seen how the ancestors Javanese batik making that has deep meaning and significance in every coraknya.
